Joel Seward

Joel Seward

General Manager

Joel started working for Westcrete in May 2010 as a part time office administrator and also as a yard assistant where he alternated between the two providing him with a quick way of learning the products and how the yard is run.
In August of 2014 Joel gained promotion to General Assistant Manager. In March of 2022 Joel became General Manager of Westcrete working closely with Lee our Assistant Manger, thus making sure everything from yard to the office is running smoothly.

 

Lee Brooker

General Assistant Manager

Lee joined us in May 2016 as a Full Time Yard Assistant who can also cover as a relief driver. After passing his LGV test in August 2016, Lee has taken on the role of driving both our Flatbed & Mini Mix Lorry fast & effectively. Lee has been involved in farming throughout his working life and has great experience in manual handling & driving machinery so he has fitted in very quickly to the Westcrete way of life. In January 2017, Lee was promoted to his new role of Yard Supervisor. In March of 2022 Lee became General Assistant Manger in which he will be working very closely with Joel to help ensure the smooth running of Westcrete.

Tina Woodhall

Office Administrator/ Purchase Ledger

Tina joined us in July of 1984 as a part-time office assistant. 32 years on & Tina has the accolade of being Westcrete’s longest serving member of staff providing plenty of knowledge on how Westcrete work! Tina’s main duties are purchase ledger, payroll, sales, accounts & keeping all the staff in check!

Currently holds the award for “best cup of tea” since 1984!

Charlie Marchant

Flatbed Delivery Driver & Yardsperson

Charlie has been with the company since May 2002, employed as a full time driver, he has first hand experience on all the vehicles Westcrete has to offer.

Previous experience of driving has meant that Charlie knows the local area extremely well and with all his years he has been with us Charlie has got our flatbed deliveries down to a fine art with an efficient and helpful approach.

Barry Willmott

Office Administrator

Barry started working at Westcrete in the summer of 2009 & it didn’t long for him to make an impression. With previous experience in telephone sales, Barry has slotted in really well with the team as an office administrator. His main duties are answering the phones, greeting clients & filing which ensures the smooth running in the Office department.

Simon McClellan

Yardsperson

Simon joined us in April 2018 as a Full Time Yard Assistant giving us extra support in the day to day running of the yard. Simon enjoys his sport especially Football & Cricket where he played a number of years for his native town of Sherborne. His previous employment of working for a local catering company for 14 years where his title of Distribution Manager meant he dealt with the storage and distribution of goods. He also worked at a Timber Yard for over 13 years where he worked mainly in the office, dealing with customers & also designing of timber products.

Tony Pearson

LGV Driver & Yard Assistant

Tony our Yorkshire man, joined the team back in September 2020 after spending 20 years teaching at a school in Somerset. Tony has experience in the building trade undertaking a list of D.I.Y projects at home over the years. Tony has just recently gained his HGV licence at the tail end of last year and is succesfully fitted in the role of driving our Mini Mixer as well as undertaking yard duties when required. It hasn’t taken him long to pick up the Westcrete way and in the words of Tony we finish with “That’ll do!”

Zach Brooker

Yard Assistant

Our youngest member of the Westcrete family, Zach joined us in May 2021 as a Yard Assistant. Zach worked at a local farm while at Secondary School undertaking general farm duties which ranged from driving farm machinery to manual labouring (poo picking). Before Zach joined Westcrete he worked voluntarily at the Donkey Sanctuary in the Gift Shop, providing him with key customer service skills which has been shown during his short time he has been with us. We see huge potential in Zach and how fast he has progressed and we hope that he is a key cog in the Westcrete wheel for many years to come.

Utility/ Guard Dog

Rex started his position in February 2018 as a Rescue Dog who quickly turned into a valuable member of the team. Our fittest member of staff who does tend to take naps during work hours but is a very loyal colleague who guards the premises when required.
