On Sunday 29th March 2020 our Yard Supervisor Lee and his lovely wife Jade be running the London Landmark Half Marathon.
They are especially motivated because their run will benefit a worthy cause and to raise the awareness of Prostate Cancer. The money they will raise will go directly to the Prostate Cancer UK group. The charity funds research to stop prostate cancer killing men, provides a range of information and support for men and raises awareness of prostate cancer. Both Lee and Jade have chosen to take on this challenge for Prostate Cancer as their former colleague but most importantly their friend Graham Rooms was diagnosed shortly after retiring from the Fire Service in which both Lee & Jade are retained firefighters in Axminster.
Both Lee and Jade alongside other members of the service would like to promote Prostate Cancer and raise as much money for the charity as possible.
To put prostate cancer into context, more than 40,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year in England. More than 9,000 men die from prostate cancer every year in England. More than 325,000 men are living with and after prostate cancer in England.
So together Lee and Jade are joining the fight and taking action to help the charity to stop prostate being a killer!
