These walls are constructed from A R Purnell Ltd, Ashen Cross Quarry Dressed Blue Lias, a distinctive local limestone. This historic stone offers a rugged, textured contrast to the smoother paving, anchoring the planting and complementing the greenery. The planting scheme itself features a mix of textures and colours, including silver-foliaged plants, feathery grasses, and drifts of purple and blue flowering perennials like Catmint and possibly Sea Holly, contributing to a relaxed, naturalistic aesthetic perfectly suited for the coastal location.
